Hello everyone, I just want to say hello, and what a wonderful place this is. I recently came out transgender to my wife, children, mom, dad, brother, and a few close friends (using the band-aid method(be quick and it won't hurt as much)). SOooooo ... after speaking with a counselor and getting her letter of recommendation I find myself starting a journey I've longed for my whole life (at least since age 4). Whew ... all this in under two weeks(the process has been quick, but the buildup has taken years). My head is still spinning, I am feeling very emotionally fragile, and the dysphoria is at an all time high. At this point I'm a 41 year young transgender woman starting hormones soon, AND I'M SOOOO EXCITED!!!!! (and scared) I have hope for the future, and love all my sisters and brothers who have been so brave before me. So many paved the way for this metamorphosis. To all of you I say Thank You. For all the rest of us, who light our candles by the light of your inspiration. We know that it's not impossible, and in fact is quite natural. Be inspired, be real, be you .... nobody else will do it for you. Love and hugs to all, Jaime Anne
Welcome to EC and thanks for sharing this with us. I hope you will stick around and update us on your continuing journey because it's really useful to hear these stories and to know that light does exist at the end of a long tunnel.
Thank you all for the warm welcome. I will keep EC updated, but as I am not a rich woman I don't know how much updating will take place in some areas, BUT I will share my journey in whatever form it takes. (I have started selling things online, and even opened a shop to pay for anything I can. Including a recycled plastic pink vagina I hand make as a way of paying for the vaginaplasty. :-D Ha ha!)(Still perfecting the voice with the help of my children and wife, still need laser hair removal, still need tracheal shave, etc...) There should be plenty of adventure to speak on After all, being a woman isn't about hair, nails, makeup, shoes, and clothes... but they do sure make a gal feel pretty :-D
