    Hey peeps,

Anybody following my thread here will know today was the day I aimed to tell my mum I'm a big ghey.

I was leaving for college at 9 to renew my contract and she decided to walk round with me because she needed to go the shops. I couldn't plant the letter as she was right by my side as I was leaving, so luckily I claimed I needed to go run back and get a pen. I went back and put it on the couch where she would go first once she got back and slowly walked round to college with her just casually chatting.

Anyways, after about 20 minutes at college I was free to go back home. I didn't think my mum would have had much time by then so I waited around for a bit chatting to peeps (who I think noticed how nervous I was looking at this point) and then decided to take the long way home listening to my Ipod. I was texting various peeps (including Paul) keeping them updated and got paranoid one would be my mum trying to phone me. Luckily she never. I arrived home at about 10am and before I could even get in the door she was hugging me.

She asked the usual "Are you sure?" questions and stuff, but she seems uber confused about it all at the moment. She thinks my dad should know too (he'll find out eventually) so I think he'll be finding out once he gets home later on today. I am not sure if that will go as well as now though. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I seem to have surprised my mum by not being upset or anything. She was crying saying how I can tell her anything etc and I'm sitting there looking uncomfortable. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I think she knows that I'm sure based on how I am not letting it upsetting me, and so far she does not seem at all phased by it. She is just confused and apparently has loads of questions that she doesn't know how to ask yet.

I'll keep ye updated with my dad (hopefully it will go well) and we'll see what happens from there. 1 down, 1 to go.

Thanks everybody for the great advice and support. (*hug*)

I don't think it has settled in yet. The thought of somebody knowing still feels weird to me. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

The real test will be when my dad finds out tonight. :eusa_doh:

If you mum's reaction is anything to go by I'm sure your Dad will be fine! What does she say about how your dad may react? Mum assured me that she knows my dad quite well, and he'd be fine. I guess I didn't know my dad that well, I was sure he'd flip out. But, Mum was right :eusa_danc

It'll take a bit to get used to, I felt strange after I told the first few people. Especially my parents, even though they were cool with everything!! But that feeling will subside!

Yes, congratulations! I've been following your thread, I'm glad it went so well with your mom, and hope it goes as well with your dad.

I have to say, I'm impressed and kind of envious of everyone here that's come out while in their teens. I don't think I would have been able to do that at that age... of course it's not a race, but still...

Good luck with your dad! Look forward to hearing more good news!
