    I don't know:
If I would be recognize as wife and getting all the rights of a straight marriage, I think yes, I would.
If we are talking about a marriage in which our relationship wouldn't be recognized legally speaking, I say no, I don't care and I'd do that just if my girlfriend wants to.

Anyway, I'd like a very small party, I don't like weddings, they are so boring. I want the white dress, as well, similar to Galadriel's dress.

I don't know... only if it was something really important to my partner.
No big party though, that's for sure.

Yeah so... I wasn't exactly imagining a future for myself with a spouse and all that. But hey...LIFE.

I was married back in April, and I could not be happier about that decision. I love my partner, and they love me just the way I am.

We didn't have a big wedding. In fact, the only people at our ceremony were the two of us, the man who married us and his wife, and our baby girl. It's not because of anything bad, just what we decided on due to familial distance and yada yada.

But yeah. I'm happy. Wheeeee. Even changed my last name and all that good stuff. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I don't really think about it nor do I have a definite answer, but I'm sure when the right person comes along, I will want to marry them.

No, because marriage is overrated if you ask me.

    You two have the idea...

Good grief does the bolded mirror my thoughts; get out of my head.

I don't like/care much for 'spotlight', so that only makes me even less interested. I treat my birthdays the same way and don't like them much either; I mean a cake or some happy birthdays and whatever is always appreciated, but it doesn't seem to stop there because, as you say, it's like everybody puts a little too much emphasis on it being 'your day'. Because of that, I think I may spend more time alone on my birthday than any other average day, on purpose.

Yes. However unlike my siblings who married in their early 20's, I don't want to rush it. I want to find the right guy first and worry about getting married later on.

Ditto. I'd like to have a low-key wedding so that we can save money, which can go toward a nice honeymoon

Yeah, I would like to get married someday. That's the plan anyway.

I'd probably just keep it just close friends though.

I would want a small wedding or elope. I'll wear what I want and feel amazing with my spouse. It will have to be a fun and laid back time. I don't care about traditional parts of a wedding but I'm sure my family will make me do some traditional things. I think I'll wear a fun vest or bow tie.

The tax benefits would be nice.

I suppose it depends on my partner, and what we work out.

Personally, I'm not opposed to the idea, even though the bachelorette party and the honeymoon would be, I think, the best parts. It's a more enjoyable environment; weddings can be kind of too formal, slow, and a waste of money -- why not take the money you'd spend on silly little decorations, and throw that down on the honeymoon?

This bitch ain't giving out at Motel 6! I want tropical sand or arctic mountains, damn it!

I always say no but... I haven't been in love yet, so that might change my mind.

Precisely. Though, to be fair, I have yet to go on a honeymoon. I don't think a trip across the country to see my spouse's family really counts. And though I may live in the subtopics...there is nothing island glamorous about this place. Hahaha.

But honestly, I never did understand why everything had to be so big and bold and perfect and EXPENSIVE for one single day. Why not invest that money into the life you're committing to with that person?
