there are literally dozens of dialects of Newfoundland English, i have a mild accent with Irish/Scottish inflections. not the sterotypical Newfoundland accent, not sure how to explain it but we are unique, but it is there along with a more measured style of speech. we use words no one else does and there are parts of the island that use words that have fallen out of the engish language hundreds or years ago.

So I looked into it a bit more and apparently my accent is considered a "Mid-western" accent! Who knew? I just thought I had general American accent

i live in pittsburgh and i have no accent whatsoever. literally. my dad is from the south so he does have an accent but i've never noticed it because i've been around him my entire life.

however we pittsburghers actually sort of have our language. it's weird

I sound like this guy basically, funny thing is I can imitate the accent he's talking about because I'm surrounded by it, and sometimes I even say certain things the way he is describing, but I basically feel the same way he does with his comment at the end.

This is a very typical Canadian accent, only the simpsons has done a good job imitating it and Kroll.

I call it the North of 9 accent, and I think since he is from the city he considers anything North of Highway 7 hick; only people from TOronto area will know what I'm saying.

This is what people from the U.S hear and it's pretty spot on

Judging by my observations, people seem to have trouble trying to categorize my accent.

So, I'll just say that I have a personal accent.

Australian, but people ask if I'm English all the time. The technical term for my accent is Cultivated Australian English, which has similarities with Received Pronunciation.

A general American accent. I lived in a tourist destination city for most of my life and am familiar with and use all the lingo I've heard. It changes with the company you keep. If the test was multiple choice, I would be curious as to what the results would be.

Kentucky. Slightly Southern accent. Bit of twang. Some unique sayings:
    Y"all (you all)
    Coke (all soda)
I'm gonna pray for you (you say this to someone who is pissing you off. And you say it with a smile on your face.)
    Good Lord
Bug (term of endearment for children)
    I know, right?

I have an American accent, but I do talk different than most. I absolutely despise acronyms, and shortened words especially things like gtg, lol, BAE those thing anny the living hell out of me. I wish everyone would stop with that and be involved enough to talk normally.
I am known amongst my friends as the "grammar Nazi." I get so pissed off when people use the wrong word in the wrong situation

Well since I'm Swedish and get all my english from tv and computers my accent is kind of a conglomeration of a western/californian american accent with some generic british pronounciation (on some words) since that was the pronounciation we were taught in school. I can switch accents, but mostly I try to sound as american as I possibly can when I do speak english. It's weird cus I've always had a slight problem pronouncing "-th" as in "earth", "throne", "threw" etc. I don't know why but it just feels so unnatural. It usually comes out sounding like either a 't' or an 's' instead. I would record it if I could :/
