No one's been surprised when I told them, so probably.

People who don't know me, or have never seen me with my bi or lesbian friends, think I'm straight. Most straight people have a pre conceived notion of what I should look like.

Oh yeah all the time. I love hearing rumors about myself, it's like... "Go on please, tell me more about myself." I always deny it though to keep it from getting to my mother.

I'm usually still read as female (~80% of the time) because I'm so early in my transition, but because of my haircut, style, and masculine mannerisms, non-LGBT people often assume right away that I'm attracted to other women (not exactly false) and label me as a stereotypical lesbian.

I've been told by a couple very close friends as well as my therapist after coming out to them that they suspected I was trans*, though mostly over intuition/knowing me well and there's no 1 reason they knew that.

My parents told me when I came out to them that they were expecting it, probably because I got quiet whenever they mentioned dating and such. It was basically like this:

My mom: Why don't you date him? He really seems to like you.
Me: Well... I don't want to date him...
My mom: Why not? He seems nice.
    Me: ...

I assume that would've aroused suspicions.

Story of my life , I kinda love it how they act like the world turned upside down when they find out women that are attractive are not straight .

Well, my so called "friends" in my skiteam a few years ago used to call me the gayest guy in the team. Which hurt very much. I've been called gay by people but it's really just something people throw out when they are angry. I'm not very stereotypical other than that I'm a bit shy and give guys strange looks

All throughout highschool I rejected all girls that came onto me and never dated anyone, I think it did raise some suspicion but no one ever asked me if I was gay.

Oh probably. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if someone figured out I was trans by looking at me for a while.

Had a former co-worker, when I was working for an inventory company, assume I was gay (which I pretty much am) because she thought I did my eyebrows (I don't- that's all natural) and looked rather feminine. It blew her freaking mind when I told her I was trans.

No one's ever guessed I was gay outright otherwise though. Only other time anyone ever has was usually when I had my boyfriend with me, for obvious reasons.

I've been hinting at it with my parents for the past month and I think they are starting to notice. Anyone else would probably think I'm odd but I don't think they would think I'm trans.

Generally, no. I've only 'traditionally' come out to one person. I've just mentioned it to everyone else in casual conversation (like "Oh, he's cute," "My ex-boyfriend said x, y, and z," "You think he's attractive? He's not really my type," etc.). I've generally been met with slightly surprised reactions. However, quite a few people suspected in high school, mostly due to the fact that they noticed that I never had a girlfriend.

Come out to them and you will see whether they suspected or not.

I think it serves them right for assuming that all gay girls are dykes.

I really despise the people who are open about following stereotypes.

I wouldn't be surprised either way.

Um I talk a lot about LGBTQ+ stuff, so maybe, and my Dad thinks I'm a Lesbian cause I don't talk to him about boys.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I've got both ends of the spectrum: my two best friends when I came out to them, one's a straight guy and one's a bi girl, said they knew it even before I did. My guy friend even went so far as to say that the first time he saw me he was like "Oh yeah, shadow's gay" and the other apparently befriended me due to my apparent homosexuality

And then on the other hand, a straight guy I had a crush on facepalmed when I came out to him and he said: "Are you sure? How have I never noticed?" Except for a few people, I think most assume that I'm gay especially considering how frequently I reject the advances of those of the fairer sex.

No they don't. I don't come across as a Lesbian at all! Even when I comment so much on how beautiful certain women are.

I'd say probably 3/4 of the people I've told have been surprised

Most people will either tell me "I suspected it" or "Really? You??!?". I have had completely different answers/reactions on both ends of the spectrum. Usually fellow lesbians pick up on it quite quickly for some reason.
