I have absolutely no idea, of course.

I wonder if anyone a hundred years ago did a terribly well at guessing the current present? I know at least the sci-fi of the 50s onward did a good job at vastly over-predicting, for one. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

That depends on what we do now. It needs to change course, or else it won't be a nice place.

I think science will be a lot more adavanced. We will have landed someone on Mars by then and a lot of diseases will be cured (Cancer, Aids etc).

I think global warming will be alot worse with weather causing a lot more damage to the planet. Sadly I think a few more animal species will go extinct but I hope im wrong with that. The Earth will be overpopulated however I think technology will have solved alot of the hunger issues with the likes of the GM crops. I really hope that we can find a reliable renewable energy source.

In terms of equality, I think the world will have come a long way. However I still think the really religious countries like those in the Middle east wont change much.

I imagine there will be vast spans of empty space, with bits of matter here and there...but only a very small percentage of space will be filled with it, even in "denser" areas like stars and planets. And the universe will have spread out a bit more, but slowed down some too.

Politics in America will have gotten so divisive the people have given up on their government. Since the government has stopped enforcing the laws on it's books (marijuana, border enforcement) people stopped paying any attention to any laws, including paying taxes. The US Federal government will collapse because they have been ineffective, they have not passed any laws in 40 years, and not enforced any laws currently on the books in 10.

With the collapse of the US government, governments around the world dependent on our foreign aid will also collapse. Power will rise up from those who own guns. Since so few LGBT people support gun ownership, they are forced back into repression, and LGBT rights falls back more than 100 years.

    Who knows? Here's my hypothesis.
    • Advancements in technology and the sciences
    • Jetpacks.
    • Improved medicine.Lengthened lifespans,cures for diseases,improved trans surgery...
    • What would the weapons of the future be like? I'm betting on energy weapons.
    • Nuclear fusion.
Of course, there are bad possibilities as well. Apocalyptic events, 1984-esque oppressive governments, some horrible person creating flying, venomous spiders, etc.

    Huge image alert.
    And if neo-pronouns* become commonplace...:***:
*Absurd pronouns such as faeself and xirself. He, she, and they are all the pronouns that people need. Pronouns are not names; having too many pronouns is just confusing.
