Can you cook beef mince in the microwave? Would it be effective? What would be the best way to do this? What is the worst thing you've ever cooked? I once cooked a lentil korma which ended up looking like gruel and solidified within half an hour. My boyfriend still insisted on trying it though... and he even pretended to like it and carried on eating it until I snatched it away from him and thew it in the bin. We ordered pizza that night.
You could always fry the beef mince in a pan... What are you planning on making with it? The worst thing I ever cooked was probably scrambled egg. I always over cook them ;(
You technically can cook mince in the microwave - just know that it won't sear and go brown, but will steam and become almost greyish. Microwaves cook food from the inside, using the water molecules already present in the food, thus rendering searing (which contributes flavor) impossible. If you heavily season it, or use a sauce with lots of strong flavors, it could easily be made passable - maybe even good.
I can't cook. The worst thing I've "cooked" was some boiled green peas. I almost made my little sister eat them, but then I tasted them and felt bad for being so cruel.
Our kitchen equipment is faulty too (I think). The oven is actually a cremation device that only my partner can use for cooking food. I think the russian gas we import burns too hot!
OMG WE HAVE AN EC ROMANCE!!!!!!! :eusa_danc __________________________________ lol no @ first question. Fry it in a pan..literally the best way to cook the mince...if you're worried bout health then just use a bit of oil/spray & use a stir fry wok so it won't stick! Worst thing? I once decided to experiment with scrambled egg. In addition to the normal stuff I added yogurt & vinegar to it. I almost puked after the first bite...
you can cook most stuff with a microwave just follow the guidelines provided am not a bad cook am a wiz with a steamer worst thing i cooked was bacon under the grill and forgot about it smoke everywhere and a tiny fire in the grill . am available for best man at your wedding BTW let me know
Crockpots are the greatest thing ever for people who either aren't good cooks or are good cooks but don't have any time. Just dump your stuff in, turn it on, and let it be.
My dad was trying to get me into cooking which is something I've never really been into, and he gave me instructions on how to make this thing with pasta and sausages and some vegetables... It didn't taste of ANYTHING. It's so freaking weird to put food in your mouth and it literally has no taste whatsoever. It's actually worse than the food tasting bad. At least it HAS a taste in that case! I can make nice cakes though!
Our roommate couldn't cook to save his life. His parents were here moving some of his furniture before he leaves for the summer, and his dad was telling me all about how when he tried making Mac and Cheese, he dumped all the ingredients into a pot of boiling water, boiled said pot of water dry, and once tried to make lasagna on the stove.
I'm good at cooking breakfast foods and rice, but that's pretty much it. I'm really good at making brownies and cakes though.
I'd personally invest in a hot plate. They're usually really cheap and they help lots when you don't have an oven. I tried making Mac and cheese from scratch. The cheese sauce c never actually turned out.
